She was born March 23, 1956 in Davidson County to Leroy Smith Sr. and Mary Holbrook Smith. Lynn attended North Davidson High School and was a member of Landmark United Pentecostal Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Larry Paul Koontz her brother, Larry Smith and sister, Wanda Knote.

Ruth Howard Huneycutt, 82, of Lexington died Friday, November 5, 2021 at her home.



A funeral service will be held 2:00 Wednesday, Nov 10 at First Reformed United Church of Christ by the Rev. Elizabeth Horton. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.



The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm Wednesday in the Church Fellowship Hall prior to the service.

Lester Hatfield November 22, 1951 - November 4, 2021
Lester Hatfield, born November 22, 1951 of Matewan, WV, passed away at his home November 4, 2021.

Les was a retired coal miner and direct descendant of the Hatfield family.

He spent his childhood on River Road in Buskirk Kentucky and attended a one room school house. He dearly loved his mountain heritage and large extended family. He and wife Linda were married Dec. 23, 1971 . Together, they raised 3 daughters that he absolutely adored. In 1998 he moved to Clemmons North Carolina. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing, however, his greatest joy came from being surrounded by family and friends. He always had a song to whistle and shoulder to lean on. He was a man of faith and never met a stranger that he didn't end up saying a prayer for. He was proceeded in death by his parents Ralph and Shirley Hatfield of Buskirk, Ky, sisters Judy Huddle, Priscilla Hatfield of McCarr, Ky, brothers Buddy Hatfield and Ralph Hatfield Jr. of Mccarr, Kentucky.
