Irvin Albert January 04, 1928 - August 28, 2023
Mr. Irvin Wise Albert Jr. 95, formerly of Country Club Blvd, died Monday, August 28, at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville.



A funeral service will be held at 11 am Thursday, August 31at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. Mason Todd. A private burial will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park.



The family will receive friends following the funeral service.



Mr. Albert was born January 4, 1928 in Pulaski County, VA and raised in Staunton, Virgina to Irvin Wise Albert and Ola Thornton Albert. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Japan after the war and was a graduate of National Business College in Roanoke, Virginia, where he played baseball. He served as President of Billings Transportation until his retirement and was an active member of New Hope Presbyterian Church as long as his heath allowed.



His wife, Betty Peters Albert, and his brother, Earl Albert (Ruth), preceded him in death.



He is survived by his son, Michael Albert (Faith) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Marcus Albert (Caroline) and Andrew Hamlin (Elizabeth), and his great-grandchildren, Easton Albert, and Katherine, Warren, and Weldon Hamlin.

Brady Holton Warner March 30, 1943 - August 26, 2023
Brady Holton Warner, Jr., aged 80, passed away due to trauma from a fall on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Reston Hospital in Reston, Virginia. He was born on March 30, 1943, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to his parents, Brady Holton Warner, Sr. and Clara Norene Berrier Warner.



A Phi Kappa Phi graduate of North Carolina State University in electrical engineering, Brady was recruited by Bell Labs, went on to earn his masters at the University of Michigan, and became a trailblazer in the field of satellite telecommunications, holding multiple patents which advanced that field.

Despite frequent relocations around the country, Brady always considered himself a Carolina boy, and maintained his membership to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, the church of his formative years, hoping to return to the area one day for a peaceful retirement full of fishing.

Brady is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Carol Dorsett Murphy Warner. He is also survived by his loving daughter, Leah Rebecca Anton, and her husband Michael, who were a source of pride and joy in his life.



Brady's memory will be fondly cherished by his sisters, Carla Robbins and Lynn Sink and husband Steve. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Ronnie Robbins. Their close-knit family bonds provided him with lifelong comfort and companionship.



He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his two beloved grandchildren, Abigail Anton and George Anton, who will carry forward his wisdom, values, and love.

Michael James Hedrick August 21, 1965 - August 27, 2023
Michael James Hedrick, 58, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

Michael was born on August 21, 1965, in Davidson County, beloved son of Robert Dale Fritts and Janice Kepley Fritts. He owned and operated Wheel Works and traveled extensively throughout the Triad, making friends with everyone he met. Mike loved riding his Harley, driving his boat, and being involved in projects around the house and his yard. His favorite color was orange and anyone who knew him knew that he would have had everything in that color if he could.

Mike’s biggest achievement and pride was his family. He was a very loving husband and hands-on father and absolutely adored being a Paw Paw. He always gave more of himself than asked and found a passion for donating and working charity events. Mike was known to go above and beyond to help others. His selflessness endured even in the end when he saved six people on the lake, and as an organ donor he saved numerous others’ lives. Mike truly had a heart for people, and his life was a testament to what he believed.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Callie Kepley, and Lloyd and Helen Fritts.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Carrie McCuen Hedrick, of the home; son, Matt Hedrick (Alicia), of Lexington; daughters, Meredith Huffman (Josh), of Lexington, Sierra McCuen (Jimmy), of Lexington, Jazmyn McCuen, of Lexington, and Skyla McCuen, of Lexington; parents Robert and Janice Fritts, of Lexington; brother, Todd Fritts, of Lexington; grandchildren, Zy, Jordan, Elliot, Easton, Nolan, Jax, Dax, and one on the way: Parker. First wife and friend, Melissa Garner and so many close friends.

Carl Reams April 12, 1936 - August 28, 2023
On Monday, August 28, 2023, Carl Dean Reams passed away at the age of 87, surrounded by his loving family. A man of unwavering faith and devotion to his family, Carl's legacy will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.



A funeral service to celebrate Carl's life will be held on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 2 pm at Grace Alliance Church. The service will be officiated by Pastor Tim Higgs, who will pay tribute to Carl's life and legacy. Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm at the church, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather and remember the man who touched their lives. Carl will be interred at Grace Alliance Church Cemetery with Military honors.



Carl's commitment to service began when he proudly served in the US Army. As a veteran, he demonstrated his love for his country and a willingness to sacrifice for its betterment. His time in the military was a testament to his sense of duty and honor.

Betty Rose Link November 26, 1936 - August 26, 2023
Betty Link age 86 of Lexington, NC passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Trinty Elms Skilled Nursing.



A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Church of Christ at Arcadia, 3448 Enterprise Road, Lexington, NC 27295. A burial will follow in the church cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday, August 30 at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Road, Winston-Salem.



Betty was born November 26, 1936, in Davidson County to Walter Leo Craver and Cornelia Lula Craver.



She had a long and rewarding career starting with a 33-year tenure in the accounting office at Unique Furniture Makers, and later she was employed as a computer tec at RJR from where she retired. She was also a member of Church of Christ, Arcadia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gray Link, sisters, Jewell McGlamery, and Bonnie Greer.



Mrs. Link was an excellent baker and loved to spend time in the kitchen cooking for her friends and family. She also enjoyed gardening and caring for those around her, which included several rescue cats. She had a kind and generous spirit and a smile that could light up a room. After an 8 year struggle with dementia, she is at peace now in heaven’s light where she is reunited with her adoring husband, Bobby, and where she will always be eternally young and beautiful.

Roberta Ann Cressel June 29, 1932 - August 26, 2023
Mrs. Roberta Ann Goad Cressel, 91, of Clodfelter Road, died Saturday at her home.



A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Harold McMillian officiating.



The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm until 1:30 pm prior to service at Davidson Funeral Home, 858 Hickory Tree Road, Winston-Salem, NC.



Mrs. Cressel was born June 29, 1932, in Carroll County, VA to Clefford and Daisy Pearl Goad. She was a graduate of Radford College and retired from Davis Townsend Elementary after 38 years of teaching. She was a longtime member of Midway Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and Bible study. Her husband, Clifford Glenn Cressel; her son, Richard Berman Cressel; her daughter, Glenna Cressel Luckado; and her sisters, Reva Simmons and Nita Wyman, preceded her in death.



She is survived by her grandson, Stacy Cressel (Geraldine) of Marion, VA; her special friend and caregiver, Charles Rogers; and several nieces and nephews, daughter in-law, Kathy Cressel, Atkins, VA.

Betty Tinnes August 25, 2023
Betty Tinnes age 81, of Lewisville passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at her home.



No formal services will be held at this time.



Betty was born in Franklin County on October 24, 1941, to Henry Boyd and Trella Willis Boyd. She was a housewife and of the Christian Faith. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Jack Boyd, sister, Eula Compton and her husband, Willie.



Surviving are her sons; Gary Wayne Tinnes and wife, Hope, David Allen Tinnes, and Mike Eugene Tinnes; three granddaughters; two grandsons; and a sister in-law, Mary Boyd.
