John Scott Biesecker August 11, 1968 - November 08, 2021
John Scott Biesecker was a loving and devoted father, husband, son, brother, and friend. He left this world after a courageous battle with cancer on November 8th, 2021 at the age of 53.

Scott was born to Jack Edward Biesecker and Mary Lou Riddle on August 11th,1968. He attended Lexington Senior High School and was a proud member of the 1986 State Championship Football Team. He graduated from Guilford College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and was a member of the football team. While there he met his future wife, Jenny Conte. Together they brought their beautiful daughter Jordan Nichole into this world.

DENNIS JAMES HUTCHINS December 12, 1953 - November 07, 2021
Dennis James Hutchins I, 67, of Lexington passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021.



Mr. Hutchins was born December 12, 1953, in Forsyth County to Roger James Hutchins and Helen Walser Hutchins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Ann Hutchins; and one brother, Ronnie Hutchins.

Bill Benfield May 16, 1931 - November 07, 2021
On November 7, 2021, the gates of Heaven opened and welcomed one of God’s most good and faithful servants, Mr. William “Bill” Benfield.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, November 11, 2021, at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church, where he was a member, with Pastors Jeremy Benbrooks and Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10 am until 11 am prior to the service at the Church.

Bill was born in Avery County on May 16, 1931, to Joe Lum Benfield and Dora Lee Benfield. He was a strong, hardworking man raised in the mountains of North Carolina. The only thing stronger than his physical strength was his desire to serve God. He served the Lord for twenty plus years as the custodian of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church. He was also well-known as the owner and operator of Benfield Floor Sanding. Mr. Benfield was a constant witness for God, not only by words, but also in deeds. On July 7, 1949, he married the love of his life, Hilda Yarbrough Benfield who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Wilson; a son, Theodore “Buddy” Brown; eight brothers; and two sisters.

Mrs. Eleanor June Mims Kinney, 92, of Old Linwood Rd, died Saturday, November 6 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm Thursday, November 11 at First Lutheran Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Matthew Miller.

Mrs. Kinney was born August 13, 1929 in Jacksonville, FL to John Allan Mims and Ruth Edwards Mims. She was a realtor for many years with Kinney Realty and later retired from Leonard-Craver Realty. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed the beach and fishing. Her husband, Adrian Roby Kinney, preceded her in death.

James Randall Bailey age 65 passed away Sunday November 7, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. The family will celebrate his life privately.

Randy was born September 30, 1956 in Forsyth County to George Franklin Bailey Sr. and Nannie Evelyn Huffman Bailey. He was of the Baptist faith. His parents preceded him in death.

Vaughn Everett Gibby, 96, of Lexington, died Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Lexington Health Care.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Pilgrim Reformed Church where he was a member, by the Rev. Richard Moore. Burial will follow with military honors by the Davidson County Honor Guard in the church cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 prior to the service in the church parlor.

Samuel Lanier Snyder, 78, of US Highway 64 West in Lexington, passed away after a protracted battle with COVID on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center. There will be no public services.
