Jenny Louise Hutchins September 18, 1946 - December 09, 2022
A celebration of her life will be at a later date.



Mrs. Hutchins was born in Rowan County on September 18, 1946 to William “Bill” Mowery and Jennie Louise McCrary Mowery. She was a sweet, thoughtful, and loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forever. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ted Hutchins, an infant child, Donald Therrell; a sister, Nancy Cranfield Young (Bobby); an infant brother, Billy Mowery; and a niece, Jamie Smith.



Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, Penny Foster of McLeansville and Samantha Kidd (Eddie) of Linwood; two grandchildren, Brent and Brandon; five great-grandchildren, Haley Foster, Gabby Foster, Emma Foster, Dakota Foster, and Henry Foster; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; a brother, Rev. Bobby Mowery (Frances); and a special friend, William Shaver.



The family would like to extend a special and grateful thanks to her care takers, Eddie Kidd, her son-in-law, and Stephanie Norman of Ally Homecare. Without them she would not have been able to stay in her home with her fur-babies, Spot and Teddy.

Betty Key Whisenhunt April 04, 1937 - December 15, 2022
Betty Whisenhunt 85 of Lexington NC passed away Thursday December 15, 2022, at her home. A Visitation will be 12 noon until 2:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.

Mrs. Whisenhunt was born April 4, 1937, in Forsyth County to the late Charlie and Lou Jeanie Goforth Key. Her husband, Edgar Eugene Whisenhunt a brother, Ralph Whisenhunt and sisters, Joyce Butner and Opal Myers, all preceded her in death.

Robert` Louis Stubbs Sr November 05, 1944 - December 12, 2022
Robert Louis Stubbs Sr., 78, of Lexington, passed away December 12, 2022, at Accordius Health of Lexington, after being in declining health for several years.



A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Bynum United Methodist Church Cemetery, Bynum NC. The family will receive friends Friday night January 13, from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home.



Mr. Stubbs was born November 5, 1944, in Chatham County, to Don Rufus Stubbs and Lucille Tickle Stubbs. Louis loved to travel and old cars. During the last several months he came to know the Christ as his savior. Louis was a loving father, brother, and friend who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Stubbs, and Don Stubbs,

Judith Bradt Snyder November 19, 1943 - December 09, 2022
Judith Aileen Bradt Snyder, 79, of Farabee Homestead Road in Lexington, passed away peacefully Friday December 9, 2022 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.



A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Monday December 19, 2022 at Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Henry Watterson officiating services.



Mrs. Snyder was born November 19, 1943 in Otero County Colorado to Jay Pershing Bradt and Virginia Vawter Bradt. Judith was a member of Reeds Baptist Church, an Attorney at Law, and found much enjoyment spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George Clyde Snyder.

James David Munger August 11, 1954 - December 13, 2022
James David Munger, 68, of Davidson County, passed away Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

David was born on August 11, 1954, in Rabun County GA, to Mr. Robert Warren Munger and Mrs. Evelyn Crane Munger. He worked for most of his life as an Electrical Superintendent and was proud to have served his country in the 82nd airborne division of the United States Army. David was the Commander of VFW post 3074 and loved going any time he could. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Rob Hutchins; brothers, Robert, Lawrence, Sherman, and Dale; and sisters, Joyce Rogers, and Kathy Munger.

Kemp Junior Johnson August 05, 1937 - December 13, 2022
Mr. Kemp Junior Johnson, 85, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

He was born on August 5, 1937, in Ennice, NC, the son of Clyde and Opal Johnson. Kemp was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Welcome, NC, and retired from working over 40 years in the chemical coatings industry which included AkzoNobel, Lilly Industries, and his own companies, Johnson’s Industrial Coatings, and North Davidson Furniture Company.

Kemp enjoyed watching football, especially his Carolina Panthers, the outdoors, and spending time with his family. He loved and adored his children, his grandchildren, and his great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Herschel Johnson (Barbara), and Lawrence Johnson (Ruby), and one sister, Jean Miles (Bill).

Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Freida Lundy Johnson of the home; two children, Karen Chesson of Lewisville, NC, and Jeff Johnson (Denise) of Catawba, NC; four grandchildren, Jennifer Alcon (Cory) of Lexington, NC, Jessica Munger (Eric) of Winston-Salem, NC, James Porterfield (Christine) of Lewisville, NC, and Jared Johnson of Lexington, NC; four great-grandchildren, Damien Porterfield of Lewisville, NC, Michaela Porterfield of Lewisville, NC and twins, Brooks Marshall Alcon, Henry Aaron Alcon of Lexington, NC, and several nieces and nephews.

Rachel Beckner January 19, 1941 - December 14, 2022
Rachel Cope Beckner, 81, of Swing Dairy Road, is now walking the streets of gold as of December 14th.

A homegoing service will be held at 11 am Monday, December 19 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, by Brother Carson Marshburn. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Rachel was born January 19, 1941 in Davidson County to Sadie Ester Belle Cope McMasters. She was a kind and caring Christian who contributed to many ministries. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Cope, and her sisters, Patsy Rumfelt and Mary Harrison.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Everhart (Tim), Linda Long (Donny), and Christi Beckner, all of Lexington; her grandchildren, Dale Heninger, Amanda Ingram, Zachary Long, Jordan Beckner, and Chloe Beckner; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
