Virgie Goodwin January 26, 1930 - December 22, 2022
Mrs. Virgie Loflin Goodwin, age 92 of Denton died Thursday, December 22 at Mountain Vista Health Park.



A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 27 at Goodwill Christian Church conducted by Rev. Melvin Morton. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.



The family will see friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home and at other times at the home of the daughter Shryl Parnell on North Main Street in Denton.



Mrs. Goodwin was born January 26, 1930 in Davidson County to Robert Loflin and Maie Lanier Loflin. She was a homemaker and had worked at Bisher Mills. She was married to Wilford L Goodwin who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy Goodwin, by sisters Dorothy Loflin, and Naomi Gallimore and by brothers, Evans Loflin, Dalton Lolfin and Paul Loflin.

June Barber Craver June 23, 1933 - December 12, 2022
June Barber Craver passed away at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC, on December 12, 2022, after a brief illness. She will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Bruce Craver, and brother John Luther Barber.

Thomas Earl Lowman, 52, a resident of Linwood, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, at his residence.



There will be a memorial service held by the family at a later date.



Mr. Lowman was born to the late Earl Dempsey Lowman and Rebecca Foster Harper on December 30, 1969, in Davidson County. He was a truck driver with Swing Transportation for many years and was a loving husband, brother, and uncle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Payne.

Pansy was also a lover of music and was known to listen to any and every genre. She always had a soft spot for animals and loved her cat most of all. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Kim Hatfield.

Jennifer “Jenny” Denise Holshouser, 47, a resident of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022. Jenny was born on July 19, 1975 to Charles Edward Holshouser and the late Julie Witherspoon Copley. She worked for many years for Pruitt Health, VA Medical Center where she followed her passion of caring for our country’s veterans. Jenny was a kind and selfless person who had a heart of Gold. She had a sense of humor that was all her own and enjoyed sewing. She recently adopted two cats, Mr. Whiskers and Autumn, who she loved dearly. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister Tammy Copley Mccarson, and a nephew, Jeffrey Bull.
