Marty James Freedle December 14, 1973 - December 18, 2022
Marty Freedle, 49, of Miles Drive, died Sunday December 18, 2022, at his home.



A celebration of life will be held 11:00 am, Friday, December 23, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel officiated by Pastor Mike Hamby. The family will receive family and friends from 10:00 am till 11:00 am prior to service.



Marty was born December 14, 1973, in Davidson County to Daniel Eugene Freedle and Lucille Shaw Freedle. He had a love for racing and the racing community. Marty was loved by so many people it is hard to name everyone. He was a great father and husband, as well as a grandfather. You could always count on him when you needed him. He is preceded in death by his father.

Kaye Matthews Snyder April 10, 1945 - December 17, 2022
Kaye Matthews Snyder, 77, of US Highway 64 West in Lexington, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at her home. There will be no public services.



Kaye was born on April 10, 1945, in Austin, Texas. She graduated from West Davidson High School and studied at the University of Houston. She was primarily a homemaker while raising her children. She later started a business named Emaline Brook with her husband, Sam Snyder. The business grew from making crafts and country décor items in the basement of their home to a thriving retail business selling specialty gifts and accessories in a stand-alone building.

Deanna Baisden Shelton February 23, 1954 - December 17, 2022
Deanna Lynn Baisden Shelton, 68, of Loflin Hill Rd., Trinity, NC passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Hospice House of the Piedmont in High Point following a recent decline in health.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, Dec. 19 at Walters Grove Baptist Church where she was a member and faithfully attended, officiating by Rev. Chris Simpson. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 on Monday prior to the service. Burial will be held in West Virginia on Wednesday.

Deanna was born February 23, 1954, in Weston, WV the daughter of Harvey Stanley Baisden and Sylvia Marie Romans Baisden. She received her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development and was a preschool teacher. Most recently she taught at The Growing Place Child Care Center in Asheboro from which she retired after 15 years. Some of her favorite activities included scrapbooking, going to the beach, and spending time at the holidays with family and friends especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Deanna was also preceded in death by her first husband, Terry Lee Isenhart; and her second husband, Jesse Wayman Shelton.

Dot Benson Walser July 05, 1928 - December 15, 2022
Dorothy “Dot” Benson Walser, 94, of Bethamy Retirement Center in Spencer, passed away Thursday December 15, 2022.



A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Tuesday December 20, 2022 at Churchland Baptist Church, where she was a member, with Rev. John Huckaby and Rev. Doug McGee officiating services. A private burial will follow on Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Frederick Maryland.

Deborah Burr Lampley March 26, 1953 - December 15, 2022
Deborah Burr Lampley, 69, of Lexington, Passed away December 15, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.



A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday 21, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Nance Howell IV officiating the service. Services will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm before the service at the funeral home.



Deborah was born March 26, 1953, in Wadesboro NC, to James L.W. Burr Sr. and Annie Ruth Gathings Burr. She was devoted member of Central Baptist Church, was Director of Patient Services with Cancer Services of Davidson County with over 10 years of service, she was truly the heath of the agency, and had so much compassion for patients. Her passion was her faith, church, family and especially her grandchildren. Deborah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Burr.

Lindsey Marie Gleason March 10, 1981 - December 15, 2022
A deeply sensitive and loving soul, Lindsey Marie Gleason (41yo) of Midway, passed away surrounded by family on December 15, 2022.

Lindsey was born March 10, 1981, in Winston Salem, NC and after graduating North Davidson High School, spent her life in Davidson County. Lindsey’s youthful nature and capacity for making others feel loved were unmatched. She found great satisfaction working for several years as a dietary aide in the Novant Health system. Providing patients with uplifting gestures and comfort while working provided her with a deep sense of purpose and joy. Lindsey most enjoyed making others laugh and spending time with her beloved dog, Travolta. She devoted endless hours and love to Travolta and treasured nothing more than showing him off and sharing stories of his adventures. She loved to read, crochet, and quote movies.

Family, both chosen and blood, were the world to Lindsey. She is survived by a large, blended family including her mother, Vicki Crouser; her father and stepmother, Ronnie, and Kim Gleason; her sisters: Brooks Gleason (Janet Hicks, Damian and Anthony Hicks), Morgan Thrift (Scott Thrift, Katelyn Thrift), Abigail Gleason (John James), Anna Randall, and Brandy McCrae (Jason McCrae); her grandmother, Ruth Harrison, and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Lillie Wall Curry July 17, 1929 - December 15, 2022
Lillie Wall Curry, 93, of Shiptontown Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at her residence.

A graveside inurnment service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, Dec. 18, at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Freddie Moretz. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.

Lillie was born July 17, 1929, in Davidson County, to George Wall and Bessie Bailey Wall. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had worked in the furniture industry.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Eugene Curry; son, David Curry; a brother, Pete Wall; and a sister, Betty Rhodes.

She is survived by daughters, Shirley Leonard (Russell) of Lexington, Bridgette Leonard (Joe), and Wanda Grimes (Sam) of Denton; brother, James Wall (Margie); daughter-in-law, Sandy Curry of Lexington; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren with 1 expectant; and 1 expectant great-great-grandchild.
