Gale Marie Marlow March 17, 1957 - December 09, 2022
Gale Marie Coleman Marlow, 65, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 9, 2022.



A funeral service will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Pastor Bradley Testerman officiating.



The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home of the son, Tad.



Mrs. Marlow was born in Davidson County on March 17, 1957, to Arthur Nicholas Coleman and Phyllis Marie Dean Coleman. She worked in the finishing room at LFI and was a member of Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. Marlow was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Nicholas Coleman, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Phil Miller.

Mary Cope Harrison July 10, 1938 - December 09, 2022
Mary Rose Cope Harrison, 84, of Lexington Health Care, passed away Friday December 9, 2022 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.



A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday December 12, 2022 at Landmark United Pentecostal Church, 208 Landmark Place, with Brother Carson Marshburn officiating services. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 00: to 11:00 at the church.



Mrs. Harrison was born July 10, 1938 in Davidson County to Sadie Ester Bell Cope McMaster. She was retired from Lexington Furniture, enjoyed doing crafts, and was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Kenneth Junior Harrison; a brother, Gary Cope and a sister Patsy Rumfelt.

Janice Marie Warner age 86 of Lexington, NC passed away Friday, December 9, 2022, at her home with family by her side.



A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Beck’s Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Chris Johnson. A burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive family and friends from 5:00 till 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC, and other times at the home.



Janice was born July 19, 1936, in Davidson County to James Robert Briggs and Virginia Hedrick Briggs. She retired from Sara Lee Corporation and was a member of Beck’s Lutheran Church. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Bruce Wayne Briggs Sr., James R. J. Briggs Jr., Douglas Eugene Briggs, sister Thelma Elizabeth “Pete” Hinkle, grandson Phillip Cross.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 2:00 PM, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with minister, Bonnie Duckworth officiating.

Clark was born on July 9, 1944, in Forsyth County, to Mr. William Emerson Dillon and Mrs. May Beth Steidley Dillon. He served his country working in intelligence while in the Air Force and went on to become a Trust Officer for LSB. Clark enjoyed reading and always had a love for dogs. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Terry Waylon Soles, age 66 of Soles Drive, Lexington, NC died Thursday, December 8 at the residence of his daughter.



No service is planned at this time.



Mr. Soles was born March 13, 1956 in Columbus County to Joshua Soles and Leona Nealey Soles. He was a self employed automobile mechanic.



He is survived by daughters, Laura DeBerry and Gennie Soles both of Denton; sons Randall Soles of West Palm Beach, Fla and Adam Soles of Polkton; brothers, Jody Soles, Maurice Soles, Robert Soles, Jeff Soles and Bill Soles; sisters, Mary Holmes, Sarah Soles and Cathy Ward; grandchildren, Waylon Soles, Nathan Soles, Gianna Soles, Carson Nealey, Gage Nealey, Jessica Soles, Hope Soles, Austin Sewell and Lola Soles and 3 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor David Langley officiating.



Mrs. Thrift was born in Forsyth County on July 24, 1930, to Millard Olden Watkins and Effie Rosina Yokley Watkins. She was a loving mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Jack Dean Thrift, Sr.; four brothers, O.B. Watkins, Billy Watkins, Joe Watkins, and Harry Watkins; and five sisters, Eusebia Moore, Frances Willard, Lucy Holland, Idema Johnson, and Mary Lanningham.

Carol Byrd May 06, 1943 - December 08, 2022
Carol Schricker Byrd, 79, of Lexington, N.C. passed away Thursday, December 8 at Hinkle Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Per Carol’s wishes, there will be no services.

Born May 6, 1943, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Carol’s parents were Eugene Bright Schricker and Lillian Virginia Miller Schricker.

Carol attended Longwood College and received her medical technician degree from the Medical College of Virginia. She had a rewarding career in the medical field, working at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, Lexington Memorial Hospital and retiring from Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Carol and her husband, Bud, spent lots of time enjoying the serenity of the lake with countless boat rides. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, reading, sewing, puzzles and crochet. Carol’s family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed adventures with her grandchildren during their summer breaks and Thanksgiving trips to Disney World. She was Kaleb and Jenna’s biggest fan, rarely missing tennis matches, basketball games and cross country/track meets while they were in grade school. Mimi, as her grandchildren called her, made holidays extra special with Easter scavenger hunts and an overflowing car of goodies at Christmas.
