Lisa Roseberry Helton April 25, 1962 - August 13, 2023
Lisa Roseberry Helton, 61, of Thomasville, passed away August 13, 2023, at her home in Thomasville.



A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 10, 2023, at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. David Langley officiating. The family will see their friends on Wednesday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home.



Lisa was born April 25, 1962, in Davidson County, to Jesse Howard Roseberry and Jessie Margaret Jenkins Roseberry. Lisa was of the Baptist faith, loved to shop, travel and doing crafts. Her passion was her family, especially her grandchildren. Lisa was a loving companion, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Roy Roseberry and sister, Janice Little.



Left to cherish her memories are her loving companion, Terry Skeen of the home, son, Jonathan (Bubba) Helton and Amanda Mishoe of Trinity, daughter, Shannette Galloway and husband Emery of Thomasville; also surviving are her grandchildren, Kolby Galloway, Kelsey Galloway, Kadie Galloway, Hayle Helton, Jathen Helton, Kysen Helton and Kirra Mishoe, brothers, Dennis Roseberry of High Point, Ronnie Roseberry and Mike Roseberry both of Lexington; also surviving are his sisters, Shirley Gregg, Cammy Jarvis of Lexington, Linda Stewart of Rockingham, and Donna Everhart of Shelby.

Raeford Wayne Sink October 25, 1946 - August 11, 2023
Wayne Sink, age 76 of Dixie Club Road passed away Friday, August 11, 2023, unexpectedly.

A funeral service, date and time will be advised.

Wayne was born October 25, 1946, in Forsyth County to Raeford Smith Sink and Rachelle Newman Sink.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Donald Ray Sink, sister in-law, Joy Sink.

Surviving are his son Jeffery Sink, brother Ronald Sink, sister Brandy Craft, husband Michael, sister in law, Sandra Sink.

Carl Eugene Burkhart January 29, 1930 - August 10, 2023
Carl Eugene Burkhart, 93, of Davidson County, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 17, 2023 Beck’s Lutheran Church, at 2:00PM, with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating.

Inurnment will follow directly after the service in the church cemetery.

Carl was born on January 29, 1930, in Davidson County, to the late Gurney Franklin and Minnie Ingram Burkhart.

He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War and then went on to work in auto glass repair and upholstery. He had an unwavering dedication to his church and family; he was the best husband and father, very sweet and loving. He also loved the outdoors; fishing, golfing, gardening, and yard work. He loved playing and watching softball and baseball.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Glenna Burkhart Thorpe, and siblings; Hazel Tussey, Lester Burkhart, Lois Pinkler, and Paige Mallard.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Gay Johnson Burkhart, of the home, daughters; Carla Burkhart, Kim Shuman, husband, Scott, both of Lexington; son-in-law, Chris Thorpe; grandchildren; Jerry “Bo” Hufton (Regina), of Winston-Salem; and Wendy Smith (Aaron), of Lexington; and great grandson, Dravon Hufton (Hannah), sister, Doris Allen and niece, Cheryl Prevo, husband, Greg and numerous other nieces and nephews and other extended family and his special fur babies; Precious, Buster, and Shadow.

Marion Laven Byrd, Jr. June 21, 1942 - August 09, 2023
Marion “Buddy” Byrd, 81, of Lexington, N.C. passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 9.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 14, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will directly follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 14 at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

Born June 21, 1942, in High Point, N.C., Bud’s parents were Mildred Welch Byrd and Marion Laven Byrd, Sr.

Bud joined the army in 1962 and was a helicopter gunman in the Vietnam war, receiving a Marksman medal, Expeditionary Service medal and Air Medal in 1964. The Air Medal is awarded for exemplary achievement while serving with the Armed Forces in aerial flight.

In 1975, Bud began his career with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Department, retiring as a Major in 2000. He was very proud of his work with the department and the impact he made in the community, which led to multiple recognitions during his career.

After retirement, he continued working in law enforcement with counterfeit crimes. This allowed him to continue to work side by side with local law enforcement in the area.

He enjoyed living on High Rock Lake and taking his family on pontoon boat rides. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and shooting. After retirement, his hobbies included daily trips for Black Chicken coffee and catching up with friends at local restaurants. He was a very proud Papaw to Kaleb and Jenna, celebrating every accomplishment as they grew up.

Christine Glover Pullum, 63, of Lookabill Rd., Denton, NC passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House.

A private graveside service will be held on Saturday at the Old Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Larry Miller.

Christine was born on December 14, 1959, in Davidson County to Ed Sowers and Clara Glover Sowers. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by grandparents, Slay and Bea Glover, and an uncle, W.S. Glover, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Artley Pullum, Sr. of the home; sons, Van Pullum, Jr. of Florida and Scotty Pullum of Denton; daughter, Libby Guthrie of Florida; sister, Mary Ann Sower of Colorado; nephew, Marc Houston; 4 grandchildren, AJ Mewbourne, Tyler Mewbourne, Haley Guthrie, and Kaleigh Pullum; 2 great-grandchildren, Emmie Mewbourne and Naomi Mewbourne.

Tina Marie Everhart Cervantes Jimenez July 03, 1960 - August 06, 2023
Tina Marie Everhart Cervantes Jimenez, 63, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Atrium Health Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial with a committal service will directly follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday evening, August 15, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

Tina was born on July 3, 1960, in Davidson County, to the late Walter Jackson Everhart and Florance Walls. She worked for many years in Office Administration for Southern Clinics and Urgent Care. Tina was known to be an avid patriot who fully supported the 1st and 2nd Amendments and was a proud member of the NRA. However, her true joy was her children and grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart. She was the family’s rock and all who knew her will remember the beautiful smile she always wore.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Elysia Rodriquez; and stepson, J. Guadalupe Cervantes.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ricardo E. Cervantes, Demetrio Cervantes, Magdalena Cervantes, and Miguel Cervantes (Christy); stepchildren, Patricia Cervantes-Espinosa, and Ricardo G. Cervantes; brother, Walter Everhart; and six grandchildren, Crystal Lockhart, Guadalupe Cervantes, Maria Cervantes, Matthew Cervantes, Alexander Angeles, and Giovanni Angeles.
