Doris Christine Leonard October 02, 1941 - July 22, 2023 |
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Shiloh Church with the Rev. Danny Leonard officiating.
Doris was born in Davidson County on September 2, 1941, to Palmer and Vallie Mae Hedrick Leonard. She was a devoted member of Shiloh Church and enjoyed working in her yard, and growing flowers. Doris was a compassionate caregiver, having taken care of many family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Garland Leonard, Robert Leonard, and Donald Leonard; a sister, Emogene Hauser; and nephew Randy Leonard.
Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Jerry Leonard (Sharon) and Gary Leonard (Debbie); her sisters, Linda Blankenship, Judy Tysinger (John), and Kay Hanes (Ronnie); six nephews, Wayne Leonard, Danny Leonard, Marty Houser, Michael Tilley, Jeremy Hanes, Brian Leonard; four nieces, Tina Jones, Donna Berry, Lisa Woods, and Michelle Foltz; and a host of other extended family and friends.

January 4, 1944 - July 22, 2023 Mrs. Faye Pierce Loflin formerly of Sparta NC died Saturday July 22 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 25 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Tim Bruton. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
The family will see friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home.
Mrs. Loflin was born January 4, 1944 to Charles Willard Pierce and Maggie Hall Pierce.
She was a homemaker and had worked for the City of Lexington in Human Resources. She was married to Robert Leon Loflin, Sr who died October 30, 2021. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa King, her parents and by a brother Wayne Pierce.
She is survived by her son, Robert L. Loflin, Jr (Janet) of Thomasville; grandchildren Ben King of Kernersville and Emily King of High Point; 3 great grandchildren.

Ashley Elaine Hedrick Garner, 30, of S. NC HWY 109, Denton, NC passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, at her residence.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date.
Ashley was born on August 12, 1992, in Davidson County. She was a graduate of South Davidson High School and had worked in the retail industry.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, James Ray Garner, mother, Linda Darlene Hedrick Plowman of Denton; son, Jasper Harrison of Denton; brother, Shane Hedrick of Denton; and a sister, Shannon Gordon of High Point.

Richard C. Brady, 83, of Lexington, passed away July 20, 2023, at his home in Lexington.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 23, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Jason Koontz officiating. The service will be live streamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome Burial will follow in the Beck’s Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will see friends one hour prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home.
Mr. Brady was born March 6, 1940, in Randolph County, to Melvin Brady and Geneva Hedrick Brady. Richard attended Westside Baptist Church, a veteran having served in US Navy, was retired from Lexington Furniture Company. He loved to hunt, fish, and spending time at the lake. His passion was his faith, family and especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and bother, who will be missed by all.

James Wendell Yarbrough, 55, passed away, July 16, 2023.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 11:00 am, at Center Hill Baptist Church, burial to follow at the church cemetery.
James was born December 28, 1967 to Edward Bryan Yarbrough and Gail Gourley Yarbrough, in Davidson County, NC. James loved riding motorcycles, and working on trucks and cars.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward, son, Ryan Yarbrough, and his brother Ronald Yarbrough.
Left to cherish his memories along with his mother; Gail, are his wife Dana Carol Robbins Yarbrough, son; Reed Yarbrough, both of the home, brothers; Paul (Sandra) Yarbrough, and Tim Yarbrough (Alvin Feltner), all of Lexington.

Jimmy Monte Warner, 73 of High Point passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023.

Jimmy was born in Montgomery County, North Carolina on March 18, 1950 to Duncan Talmadge Warner and Dora Belle Wright Warner. He enjoyed traveling and car racing. Jimmy is a Marine veteran and worked for Norfolk-Southern Railroad. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Parsons.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Peggy Joyce English Warner; daughters, Crystal Hall (Mike), Michelle Parris, Tuesday Fuquay (Mikey), Tonya Williams; brothers, Tony Warner (Faye), Terry Parsons (Perry) and Mark Warner; sister Teresa Warner and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Clark Leonard Darr, 81, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at his home in Lexington, North Carolina.
A private celebration of his life with military rites will be held at a later date.
Mr. Darr was born in Davidson County, NC January 3, 1942, to Fred Leonard Darr and Evva Nifong Darr. Clark was a devoted member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and the Coed Sunday School Class. He was a veteran having served in the National Guard. He loved his country, and his flag. He also enjoyed working in his yard and was a person that never met a stranger. His passion was his faith, church, family and especially his grandchildren. Clark was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Bobby Darr and a sister Pansy Mayberry.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Linda Clodfelter Darr of the home; his son, Rodney Darr (Katrina) of Lexington; daughter, Melissa DeIonno of Clayton NC; sisters, Betty Almond and Peggy Owen both of Thomasville. His grandchildren Jacob Darr who, was the joy of his life, Savannah DeIonno, and Kyleigh DeIonna.
