Manita Ingram April 08, 1957 - September 04, 2023
Mrs. Manita Bruce Ingram, age 66 of Cap Ingram Road, Lexington, NC died Monday, September 4 at her residence.



A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 8 at Floyd Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Derald Smith and Rev. Shane Smith. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.



The family will see friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.



Mrs. Ingram was born in Guilford County to Robert B Bruce and Carlyne Hill Bruce. She was a retired employe of Quality Salvage Industry.. She attended Floyd Baptist Church.



She is survived by her husband Scotty Ingram of the home; sons Craig Gordon of West Virginia, Russell Gordon and Sheldon McDaniel both of Lexington; daughter Katrina Gordon of Lexington; step-daughters, Holly Hedrick of Denton, Lori Cook and Kristy Eller both of Lexington; brother Bob Bruce of Wilmington; sister Beverly Bruce of Greensboro; 19 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Gail Aaron Styles Mainess February 25, 1937 - September 05, 2023
Henrietta Gail Aaron Styers Mainess, 86, of Davidson County, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Lexington Medical Center.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 4:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Pastor Paul Batson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.

A private family committal will follow at a later date.

Gail was born on February 25, 1937, in Davidson County, to the late Thomas Henry Aaron and Beatrice McDaniel Aaron Sink. She worked for many years for the Davidson County Public Library System and retired as a Library Technician. She was a member of Jersey Baptist Church. Gail had a natural talent for Interior Design, even going as far as attending school and getting a certification in it. She also enjoyed square dancing and met her second husband while doing so.

Gail is remembered as a very loving, generous, and selfless person. She was a joy to be around, and her faith was the most important aspect of her life. As a ministry, Gail volunteered for years, travelling around the country, and giving her time and love for those in need. Some of the organizations she volunteered with are NC Baptist Disaster Relief, Lexington Hospital, her church, Crisis Ministry, and Hospice.

Mildred Louise Thompson March 25, 1945 - September 05, 2023
Mildred Louise Thompson, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at Atrium Health Lexington Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, September 12th at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Eddie Thompson officiating. There will be no formal visitation.

Mildred was born on March 25, 1945, in Orange County, NC, to Edward Anderson Thompson and Annie Bell Riley Thompson. She retired as a clerk with Master Clean. Mildred was a loving sister, aunt and great-aunt and will be missed by everyone and forever in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bobby Ray Thompson and sister, Helen Marie Yoder.

Those left to cherish her memory are her nieces, Kristina Thompson-Kinley (David), Loriann Yoder (Glenn), Melinda Thompson (Ryan); nephew, Eddie Thompson (Jennifer); great-nieces, Ali, Emma, Makinley, and Gracie; great-nephews, Devan and Cameron; brother, Steve Thompson (Ann) and brother-in-law, Robet Yoder.

William Rodney Bozeman September 20, 1954 - August 30, 2023
William Rodney Bozeman, known as Rodney, was born in Lexington, NC, on September 20th 1954.



On Wednesday, August 30th, Rodney, AKA Diddy, Daddy, and PopPaw, passed over quietly in the early hours of the morning. He is now reunited with many of his dearest loved ones including his wife, mother, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and countless cherished furbabies. Rodney is survived by his son Erik Bozeman, his daughter Emily Averill, her husband Jim, their children Juliet and Leigh, his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his lifelong friend Drew, his loyal friend Shelly, and his most adored kitty cats.



Rodney served in the US Navy as a young man before beginning his nearly 40-year career with the United States Post Office. He was a skilled carpenter who helped to build several houses for his family members, including the home where he and Jane raised their children. He enjoyed woodworking, golf, bass fishing, and hunting, and he never missed a game when his Carolina Panthers were playing. Rodney was a dedicated provider for his family, an avid rock ‘n’ roll fan, and though he loved all animals he had an incredible fondness for cats.

Chanderdai “Doris” Subaniken, 87, of Lexington passed away on Friday, September 1st, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Subaniken was born in Guyana, South America on October 13th, 1935, to Philip Guyah and Basmat Guyah. She was a loving wife, mother, grand/great grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Pulliah “Albert” Subaniken, two sons, Leonard Bindnarine (Babsy) of NY, Desmond Subaniken and one brother Cecil Guyah.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons, Kenard Bindnarine (Rovena) of NY and Martin Subaniken (Bibi) of NY; four daughters, Tara Subaniken of NJ, Romela Sankar (Dewan) of NC, Indira Darnley (Nelroy) of NY, and Shelly Basdeo (Maxwell) of NC, twenty-three grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Virginia Josephine Clark Harrison June 01, 1933 - September 01, 2023
Virginia Josephine Clark Everette Sr. Younts Harrison, 90, of Lexington passed away September 5, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.



A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Mt Carmel Freewill Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Darrell Cartrette officiating. The family will see friends one hour before the service at the church, and other times at the home of the son’s home, 932 Lingle Farm Rd., Lexington, NC 27295.



Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.



Mrs. Harrison was born June 1, 1933, in Stuart, Virginia, to L. Moyer Clark and Lillie Bell Cassaday Clark. Virginia was a devoted member of the church, church choir, Sunday School teacher, and ladies auxiliary for many years, was retired from Parkdale Mills, loved to collect baby dolls and babysitting. Her passion was her faith, church, family, and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband’s Archie Everette Sr., Floyd Lee Younts, and Wilbert Free Harrison, a son, Randy Everette, brother, Cecil Clark, sisters, Annie Ruth Racheal, Lucille Phillips, and Carleen Blake.

Ronald Eugene Talley Sr. December 28, 1941 - September 04, 2023
Ronald Eugene Talley, Sr., age 81, passed away on September 4, 2023, at Abbott’s Creek Center in Lexington.



A funeral service will be held at 4pm on Saturday, September 9th at Linwood Baptist Church, located at 3591 Old Linwood Road in Lexington with Pastor Bruce Freeman and Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at later date.



The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:00 at the church prior to the service.



Ron was born on December 28, 1941, in Virginia to Cornelius “Jim” Vanderbilt Talley and Pauline Fisher Talley Pangle. He served in the United States Navy and retired as a plant superintendent from Dixie Linwood. Ron was a member of Linwood Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with the Upper Room Food Pantry. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty Jo Perry Talley, brother Melvin Tally, and Lillian Faye Utterback.
