Prior to the service, the family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm at the church, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather and remember the man who touched their lives. Carl will be interred at Grace Alliance Church Cemetery with Military honors.

Carl's commitment to service began when he proudly served in the US Army. As a veteran, he demonstrated his love for his country and a willingness to sacrifice for its betterment. His time in the military was a testament to his sense of duty and honor.
Born on April 12, 1936, to the late Orme Carl Reams and Ruth Tucker Reams, Carl grew up in a close-knit family that instilled in him the values of hard work, compassion, and integrity. Throughout his life, he exemplified these qualities in everything he did. Following his military service, Carl dedicated his working years as a skilled Installer, a role he undertook with great diligence and expertise. He spent much of his career contributing to the success of Davidson Sash and Door, leaving a mark of craftsmanship on all that he did. His strong work ethic and commitment were evident to all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

A cornerstone of his community, Carl was an active member of Grace Alliance Church, where his faith flourished. His connection to the church was not only spiritual but also familial, as it was at Grace Alliance Church that he found support, camaraderie, and a spiritual home. In his journey through life, Carl encountered both joy and sorrow. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Owings Reams, with whom he shared a love that inspired all who knew them. Their bond was one of true partnership and mutual respect. Carl's memory will forever be cherished by his adoring children, Carl "Dean" Reams, Jr. (Missy) and Patty Gobble (Randy), who continue his legacy by embodying the values he held dear. He is also survived by his brother, Willie Reams, and sister, Etta Mae, who shared a deep bond of family kinship. Carl was a proud and loving grandfather to five grandchildren: Benji and Jennifer Gobble, Summer and Piper Leonard, and AJ Odom. He also had the joy of being a great-grandfather to Xavier and Leah Gobble, whose lives were enriched by his presence and love. In later years, Carl found companionship and joy in the company of Vickie Bevan. Her presence brought warmth and happiness to his life, and she stood by his side as a loving companion.

In honor of Carl's memory and his commitment to youth and faith, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be directed to the Grace Alliance Church Youth Group. Donations can be sent to PO Box 308, Linwood, NC 27299.

Carl Dean Reams leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication to family and community. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly through the memories and lessons he shared with the world.
