Millard Myers February 15, 1943 - April 14, 2022 |
Millard “Junior” Myers age 79 died Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Accordius Health with family by his side.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am till 10:45 am prior to the service. Mr. Myers was born in Davidson County, February 15, 1943 to Millard Myers Sr. and Elizabeth Jackson Myers. He was a member of Amity Hills Baptist Church and retired as a welder. Junior is preceded in death by his parents, wife Margie Lee Myers, sister Shirley Myers.
Surviving are Sherry Miller, Tina Brogdon (Benny), brothers Don Myers (Marisa Patrizi), Andy Wayne Myers (Jae), 5 grandchildren: Kelly Hunt (Jeremy), Mandy Gusler (Joshua), Kimberly Miller, Byran Parks, Justin Parks (Stephanie) and nine great-grandchildren.

Carolyn Carroll April 23, 1943 - April 13, 2022 |
Mrs. Carolyn Buie Carroll age 78 of Denton died Wednesday, April 13 at Hinkle Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 17 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. A private interment service will follow in the Denton Town Cemetery.
The family will see friends at Briggs Funeral Home on Saturday, April 16 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM and at other times will be at the residence.
Mrs. Carroll was born April 23, 1943 to Ralph Woodrow Buie and Dallas Lanier Buie. She and her husband owned and operated Carroll Oil Company and Carroll Rentals for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Seth Hedrick, in-laws, Robert C. and Mildred Y. Carroll, brother-in-law, Archie Hedrick and sister-in-law Nancy C. Brown.

Thomas Gray Chadwick age 41 of Lexington passed away at his home. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Ambers Nobles August 14, 1928 - April 12, 2022 |
Ambers Nobles age 93 of Winston Salem passed away Tuesday April 12, 2022 at his home. A funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Place of Praise Church conducted by Bishops Mike Lane and Bob Williams. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church of Welcome Cemetery. The family will see friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service.
Mr. Nobles was born in Columbus County to Sanford Otis Nobles and Fannie Caulder Nobles. His parents and his first wife, of 66 years, Sally Christine Smith Nobles all preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and a daughter in law, Patty. He retired from Masco. Mr. Nobles was a farmer, loved working in his yard, his church and his family.
Surviving are his wife Shirley Wilson Nobles of the home. His sons, Randy Nobles of Winston Salem and Kenny Nobles of Lexington. A daughter, Peggy Cook (Charles) of Lexington. Also Surviving are six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Vickie Lynn Schenck August 16, 1957 - April 11, 2022 |
Vickie Lynn Stringfield Schenck age 64 went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 11, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. A celebration of life will be 3:00 pm Good Friday, April 15, 2022, at Wallburg Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Brandon Wolfe with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Schenck was born August 16, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio to Rubert Stringfield and Mina Bell Hall Stringfield. She worked as a nurse with CVS Caremark. She was a member of Wallburg Baptist Church. Her parents and husband, Herbert Paul Schenck who passed January 16, 2022, preceded her in death. She was also preceded by grandsons, Joshua and Judah and a sister, Michelle.
Surviving are her children, Travis Schenck and his wife Heather and Angela Michelle Reece and her husband Chris. Two grandsons, Elijah and Caleb. Her brother, Doug and sisters, Brenda Charlotte, Barbara and Diane.

Donna Sue Brooks June 05, 1972 - April 11, 2022 |
Donna Sue Kincaid Brooks, 49, of Lexington, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time.
Ms. Brooks was born June 5, 1972, in Rowan County, to Brenda Kincaid Pruitt. Donna had a beautiful ministry of sending cards of celebration and support to her family and friends. Even sending Easter cards only six days before her passing, the Easter celebration she will now attend in person as a child of God. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her special cousin, Little Gene Johnson.
Surviving is her fiancé, Branson Leonard of the home; her mother of Bethamy Retirement Center of Spencer; her aunt, Diane Jonson and uncle, Gene Johnson who were also her lifetime guardians; and two special cousins, Aaron Johnson and Mattox Johnson.

Rosa Maria Mayorquin May 27, 1955 - April 08, 2022 |
Rosa Maria Pinzon Mayorquin, 66, of Lexington, passed away Friday, April 8, 2022.
A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm, Friday, April 15, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mayorquin was born May 27, 1955, in Mexico, to Ramon Pinzon and Maria Isabel Altamirano. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving is her husband, Taurino Mayorquin of the home; two sons, Juan Mayorquin (Nikisha) of Lexington and Hector Mayorquin of Lexington; one daughter, Guadalupe Mayorquin of Lexington; niece, Yesenia Lopez and six grandchildren.
