Johnny Lee Blankenship December 08, 1966 - May 03, 2022
Johnny Lee Blankenship, 55, of Swicegood Road in Linwood, passed away Tuesday May 3, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health Center.



A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Saturday May 7, 2022 at Lexington Church of God with Pastor Rodney Merrill conducting services. A private burial will be held at a later date.



Johnny was born December 8, 1966 in Forsyth County to Buford Lee Blankenship Sr. and Shirley Anne Dillow Blankenship. He enjoyed watching movies, reading books and spending time with his grandson Eli. Johnny was always full of life, never met a stranger and his never ending smile was contagious. He touched many people and all that knew him will truly miss him.

Pauline Kurtz Coney May 04, 2022
Pauline Kurtz Coney, age 95, of Lexington, passed away early Wednesday morning in Forsyth Medical Center after a period of declining health.



A celebration of her life will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday May 6, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Welcome where she was a member, conducted by Rev. Jonathan Goodman. Burial will be in First Baptist Church of Welcome Cemetery. The family will see friends at the church one hour prior to the service.



Pauline was born in Williamsport PA. to F. Edwin and Verla Cline Kurtz. She was a retired manager at PA Power and Light Credit Union. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Daniel Coney Jr. in 2013.



She is survived by sons; Daniel R. Coney III and wife Vanessa and Edwin P. Coney and wife Bonnie all of Lexington, grandchildren; Daniel Coney IV (Karen), Elizabeth Blair (Jared), Ashley Albertson (Ray), Amanda Coney, Heather, and Bryon Kurtz, 12 great grandchildren.

CHRISTOPHER
Christopher "Chris" Charles Hege, 46 of Lexington NC went home to be with his Lord and Savior May 3, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 17, 1975 to Charles and Ann Hege in Lexington NC.

Chris graduated from Central Davidson High School in 1994. He was a devoted employee of Kurz Transfer Products for more than 20 years and treasured his time spent with his coworkers. He considered them family.

Chris married Lisa Hege on September 10, 2004. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years.

Chris was one-of-a-kind. He never met a stranger and loved to give hugs and always wore a smile on his face. Chris loved wrestling, NASCAR and Bowman Gray Racing. He was passionate about spending time with his grandchildren and niece.

In addition to his wife, Chris is survived by his parents; grandmother, Janet Sharpe; sister, Katelynn Hege; son, Michael "Shane" Williams (Taylor) and 3 grandchildren; god-daughter, Christy Wafford and her children.

Chris was a member of Restoration Church of Welcome NC

Bill Lusk, Jr. January 18, 1953 - May 04, 2022
Mr. William Lusk, 69, of Lexington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.



A graveside memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery.



Mr. Lusk was born January 18, 1953, in Davidson County to William Kane Lusk and Irene Hughes Lusk. He retired from the NC Department of Transportation and was a member of Floyd Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father.



He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Jarrett Lusk; his son, William Lusk III; his mother, Irene of Lexington; his brothers, Jim Lusk and John Lusk, both of Lexington; his sisters, Lila Baldwin of Southmont, Jeannie Childers of Denton, Joannie Highfill of Lexington, Karen Harrison of Haw River, Brenda Freeman of Concord, and Linda Zeyfang of Summerfield; and his grandchildren, William Lusk IV, Ashley Lusk, and Abigail Lusk.

Shayna Desiree Funk age 29 passed away at her home. A celebration of Life will be 4:00 pm Saturday May 7, 2022 at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel conducted by her family.

Shayna was born September 2, 1992, in Wythe County, Virginia to Roy Shane Funk and Sonya Dawn Bell. Her favorite pastimes were spent knitting, cooking, and photographing flowers and wildlife.

Morris Jerome Vaughters July 30, 1956 - May 02, 2022
Morris Jerome Vaughters, 65, of Lexington, passed away May 2, 2022, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem.



A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Files Chapel Baptist Church in Lexington. The family will see friends before and following the service at the church.



Morris was born July 30, 1956, in Rowan County, to Morris Lee Vaughters and Ruby Hawkins Vaughters. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired from RJR Tobacco Company. Morris was a fun-loving person who never met a stranger. His passion was his faith, family and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Morris was a husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Steven Lamar Vaughters, brother, Willie Vaughters, sister, Patricia Hawkins.

Brenda Rogers Tysinger August 05, 1946 - May 01, 2022
Brenda Rogers Tysinger, 75, of Lexington, passed away May 1, 2022.



A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Bethany United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Benny Clodfelter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.



Mrs. Tysinger was born August 5, 1946, in Davidson County to Edward Emerson Rogers and Carrie Dunning Rogers. She was retired from the furniture industry, having worked at a couple of local companies, and was a member of High Rock Baptist Church.
