Betty Mae Yarbrough Hammonds, 84, a resident of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, in Hinkle Hospice Home. Betty was born in Davidson County on March 19, 1938, to the late Wade Pinkney and Evelyn Wallace Yarbrough. Betty retired at 70 years old from Carolina Castings in High Point. She was a loving mother who worked hard to ensure her daughter had everything she could ever need. Betty was very active, she enjoyed yard work, and tending to her flower beds. She also enjoyed crafting and painting. She attended Jersey Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Hobart and Homer Yarbrough.

Ms. Doris Epley Pickett, 86, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday November 9. 202 at Cadence of Clemmons Assisted Living.
A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Sunday November 13, 2022, at New Vision Baptist Worship Center conducted by Pastor T.W. Bailey.
Doris was born October 17, 1936, in Iredell County to the late Carl and Nettie Epley. Her daughter, Brenda Pickett Weaver and four brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Sherri Harris (Clayton) of Clemmons and a son Rick Pickett of Asheville. Her son in law, Jerry Weaver of Clemmons. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Ashley Thomas (Lewis) of Winston Salem, Kelly Owens (Richie) of Lexington, Beth Smith (Joseph) of Lexington, Jason Weaver of Clemmons and Corey Weaver (Jessica) of Winston Salem. Her great grandchildren, Madelyn Thomas, Lucas Thomas, Xander Owens, Samanda Owens, Emma Smith, Colton Smith, Cortland Weaver and Cristian Weaver.

Mark Steven Sink, 64, of City Lake Road, passed away Thursday November 10, 2022 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Monday November 14, 2022 at Shilo United Methodist Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Ryan Mendenhall officiating services.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 Monday at the church.
Mr. Sink was born July 30, 1958 in Davidson County to Lacy Ardale Sink and Mabel Ann Turner Sink. He was employed with Kurtz Stamping foils and enjoyed his job. Mark was preceded in death by h is parents.

Sallie Jean Hicks Hunt, 72, of Davidson County, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Trellis Hospice.
Sallie was born on March 24, 1950, in Boone, NC. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, taking care of her family and her children. Sallie absolutely loved her family and was known as an amazing caregiver. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lee Hunt; and several brothers and sisters.

Marlene Marie Williams, 65, of Davidson County, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
There are no formal services at this time.
Marlene was born on January 7, 1957, in Webster County, to the late Charles Gregory and Carrie Barker Gregory. She worked for many years at Leslie Equipment and attended North Lexington Baptist Church. She loved her church and was very involved, especially in The Mission Food Bank ministry. Marlene was known to be a hardworking and independent, yet selfless person who would go out of her way to help anyone. She was a true giver and loved helping people. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Alana Williams, and several brothers and sisters.

Rebecca Louise Coppley Lookabill, 89, of Lexington, passed away November 8, 2022, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
A graveside to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Jersey Baptist Church Cemetery, where she was a member, with the Rev. Paul Batson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 pm in the church fellowship hall.
Mrs. Lookabill was born January 19, 1933, in Davidson County, to Chelsie Lee Coppley and Bertha Beactrice Cody Coppley. Louise was a devoted member of the church and the church choir for many years. She was retired from the City of Lexington and having retired from Binnings and the Davidson County Governmental Office. Her passion was her faith, church, family and especially her grandson and great grandson. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Vann Lookabill who died August 24, 1997, and brothers, Austin and Lewis Coppley, her sisters, Elsie Starr, Betty Jean Surratt, Carol Kirkus, Rachel Hamm.

Larry Wayne Buie, 72, of Bethesda Road, passed away Tuesday November 8, 2022 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at White Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Rev. William Adams officiating services.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.
