Linda McCormick age 77, of Westwood Drive passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at her home with family by her side.
A celebration of her life, (Family Gathering) will be held Friday, December 2, 2022, from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, NC.
Linda was born July 7, 1945, in Forsyth County to Macie Whitt. She touched many lives through her years working as an RN. Linda was a good-hearted, strong, loving, devoted Mother and Maw-maw, who was always full of life. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed. Linda is preceded in death by her Mother, and Thomas “Wormy” McCormick, the father of her children.

Darrell Reece Swing, 64, of Lexington, passed away November 28, 2022, at Lexington Health Care.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 1, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Steve Regan officiating. The family will receive friends one hour before the service, and a private burial will follow in Beck’s Reformed Church. The service will be lived streamed at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome
Darrell was born September 10, 1958, in Davidson County, to Everett Bryan Swing and Wilma Jean Hunt Swing Plumber. Darrell retired from I H Caffey in Greensboro, and was a member of Beck’s Reformed Church, His passion was his family and especially his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews, who will be missed by all.

Matthew Lane Hancock July 23, 1990 - November 24, 2022 |
Matthew Lane Hancock, 32, a resident of Eden, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022. He was born July 23, 1990 to Phillip Lane Hancock and Cari Schaefer Bennett. Matthew was a loving father and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed fishing and working on cars. He was preceded in death by his brother, Sean Hancock.

Russell Grey Brown Jr December 31, 1939 - November 24, 2022 |
Russell (Russ, R.G., Jeep) Grey Brown Jr., 82, of Bethesda Road, passed away at Hospice of Davidson County on November 24, 2022.
Celebration of life will be in the sanctuary of Bethesda UMC where he was a member on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 3:30pm with interment in the church cemetery. Visitation with friends will follow in the Family Life Center.
Russ was born on December 31, 1939 to Russell Grey Brown Sr. and Agnes Thompson Brown. He graduated in 1958 from James A. Gray High School where he played right guard on the varsity football team and ran track. He attended ECU and graduated from High Point College with a B.S. in Physical Education and minor in Biology. He taught for five years in Guilford and Davidson County schools. Russ owned and operated Lou-Shar Wholesale Floral Supply and, later, B & R Wholesale Floral Supply until his retirement.
Russ was predeceased by his wife, Betty Lou Ramseur Brown, and son, Russell (Rusty) Grey Brown III. Surviving of the home is wife, Ann Leonard Brown; daughter, Sharon Brown Fansler (Mark); granddaughter, Avery; brother, Jimmy Mark Brown (Beverly); niece, Karen, of Kernersville, NC, and brother-in-law, Bob Ramseur (Peggy); nephew and niece, Bob Jr. and Kathy, of Raleigh, NC.
He is also survived by his children-by-marriage Donna Hunt Spencer (David), J. Craig Hunt (Denise), and Carol Hunt Stephens (Sam). Grandchildren-by-marriage Luke, Seth and Isaac; Charis, Bethany, Aaren, Melissa, Martha, and Hannah; Nate and Susan. He blessed fourteen great-grandchildren as their Pawpaw.

Ricky Jason Robbins, 41 of Lexington, passed away Friday November 25, 2022.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Friday December 2, 2022 at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Preacher Brian Workman officiating services
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 at Davidson Funeral Home, and other times at the home.
Mr. Robbins was born August 6, 1981 in Davidson County to Ricky Davis Robbins and Phyllis Lynn Berrier Robbins. Jason enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool and got along well with everyone, but he especially loved his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

Sheila Diane Slaughter, 72, of Lexington, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022.
There are no formal services at this time.
Sheila was born January 20, 1952, in Davidson County to Mr. Robert and Audrey Louia. She worked in the furniture industry for most of her working life and attended Deep Water Baptist Church. She loved her family more than anything and will be remembered as a very caring person who loved everyone.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Slaughter; daughter, Donna Gail Mantooth; two brothers, Larry Louia and Gural Louia; and one sister, Annette Louia.

Barbara Everhart McCrary April 13, 1939 - November 28, 2022 |
Barbara Everhart McCrary, 83, a resident of Lexington, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 in Forsyth Medical Center. Barbara was born to the late Thomas Moses and Hedgie Black Everhart on April 13, 1939. She retired from Wellington Hall after many years of service to them. Barbara was a talented artist and enjoyed working in her yard. She was a member of Second Reformed Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dermont McCrary in 2016; a son, Tommy McCrary in 2013; brothers, Leon, JoeVon, Dwight, and Boyd Everhart; and sisters, Jennie Shoaf and Jean Helmstetler Sink.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2:00PM at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials to a hospice facility of your choice.
Left to cherish Barbara’s memory is her daughter, Lisa McCrary Embler (Dale); grandsons, Jeff McCrary (Athena), Derek McCrary (Tabitha); great-grandchildren, Mady McCrary, Jake McCrary, Lindsay McCrary, and Landon McCrary; step-grandchildren, Cliff and Jeremy (Rosa) Adams; step-great-grandchildren, Braxton & Kiersten Smith, Derek and Sophia Brummett and Archer Adams; daughter-in-law, Cindy McCrary; sister Janet Mahaffey; numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces.
