Julie Quick June 14, 1970 - September 18, 2023 |
Mrs. Julie Ann Gordon Quick, age 53, of Old NC Highway 109, Lexington NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 18, 2023.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date with family and friends.
Mrs. Quick was born on June 14, 1970 in Davidson County to Bobby Lee Gordon and Gloria Elaine Jackson Gordon. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Bobby Lee Gordon, Jr.
Julie had a love for traveling that she was able to do for many years as a truck driver. She was a very generous spirit who loved her family and friends. Julie is one that never met a stranger. She had a great love for the beach, country music, watching hummingbirds and her sweet dog Tippy.
Mrs. Quick is survived by her husband R.W. Quick of Thomasville; two sons, Adam Lowery and wife Holly of Asheboro and Joshua Lowery and wife Libby of California; 3 beautiful granddaughters, Bella, Nora, and Daphane; special aunts, Joyce Saunders, Carolyn Hawkins and many cousins; 3 special friends, Allen Yates, Kathy Greene Bedussi and Amanda Horsefield that she loved dearly and enjoyed joking around with.

Paul Edward Starr July 10, 1953 - September 20, 2023 |
Paul Starr, 70, of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 3:00 PM, at Bethany United Methodist Church, with Rev. Michelle Hill officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the service in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Paul was born on July 10, 1953, in Davidson County to the late Fred Bryce Starr and Elsie Coppley Starr.
He worked for many years with Proctor and Schwartz and later went on to retire from the City of Lexington. Paul was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and was known for his talent of baking wonderful cakes.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Barry.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Vickie Starr; nephew Kevin Starr (Debbie); niece, Karin Starr; and great nephew great nieces, Max Bosko, Macie Starr, and Reese Starr; and close friends, Richard and Patsy, Jamie, and Faye.

Travis Wayne Johnson, 46, of Crest Wood Circle in Lexington passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem.
A memorial service will be held at Finch Park on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at 1pm.
Travis was born May 27, 1977, to Mike Edward Johnson and Regina Gail Baker Michael. He enjoyed painting and pressure washing. He was preceded in death by a step-sister, Stephanie Lowery.
Surviving is his wife Samantha Lynn Lewis Johnson of the home, two sons, Alexander Johnson and Justice Johnson, both of Lexington; one daughter, Serenity Johnson, of Lexington his mother and step father, Kermit Monroe Michael, four brother, Michael Johnson , George Johnson, Clint White all of Lexington and Brent White (Alisha) of Georgia; a sister, Sabrina Michael of Salisbury; and step sisters, Teresa Lowery, and Billie Jo Young both of Georgia; and 3 Nephews, Dawson Norman, Logan Johnson and Gunner Johnson.

Betty Bailey Garcia, age 64 of Lexington, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, September 22nd in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kent Norman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
A visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.
Betty was born on October 5, 1958, in Davidson County, NC to Henry J. Bailey and Betty Jo Owens Bailey. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Cathy Bailey.

Danny Paul Greene, age 76, of High Point passed away September 17, 2023 at Atrium Health in High Point.
Mr. Greene was born in Beckley West Virginia on November 15, 1946 to Paul and Vera Greene. He moved to North Carolina and worked in the furniture industry. He worked for several furniture industries including, Dixie Furniture, Link Taylor, Lexington Furniture and Hughes Furniture. In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by his son, Benjy Greene of Asheville; one brother of Elkin; two sisters of Lenoir; and former wife, Linda Washburn Greene of Lexington.

Barbara Ann Luck, 80, formerly of McCallum Rd., died Monday, September 18, 2023 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. Graveside Service will be 2:30 PM Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Pleasant Hill UMC Cemetery, with Rev. Wayne Luck officiating.
Born in Montgomery County on July 23, 2943, she was the daughter of William Gurney and Catherine Ritter Luck. She attended Tabernacle Baptist Church, and was formerly employed with United Mills as a seamstress.
Barbara is survived by her brother, Bill Luck, Jr. of Goldsboro; 2 sisters, Elaine McKenzie of Eagle Springs and Cathy Chisholm of Candor; several nieces and nephews.

Gary Edward Fisher February 18, 1952 - September 16, 2023 |
Gary Edward Fisher, 71, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2023.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Fisher was born February 18, 1952, in Ulster County, NY, to Mr. Garvin Edward Fisher and Mrs. Miriam Eason Fisher. He retired as a state trooper in Ulster County, New York, where he was a firearms instructor at the N.Y.S.P. Academy in Albany, NY, as well as an N.Y.S.P. sniper. He was also an avid hunter, fisherman, handyman, and general outdoorsman who loved to keep busy working with his hands and helping out family and friends or anyone in need. In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Susan LaVerne Franz Fisher.
Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Jennifer Fisher Wilcox (Jonathan Smith) of Lexington, and Jessica Daniels (Scott) of Lexington; one sister, Eileen Fisher Barbieri of New York; one brother, John Fisher of Florida; and two granddaughters, Veronica Wilcox, and Kaitilin Fisher.
