ERIC SHANE'S OBITUARY
Eric Shane (Swurv) Lanier June 12, 1975- September 29, 2021
A normal obituary would not do justice to Eric Shane (Swurv) Lanier.

Eric, chose a path in life, that not many choose. He was committed to what he believed, and chose to honor his choices with consistent actions.
Eric was blessed with extraordinary talents in so many areas of life!
He found success and happiness in business, body building, in academics, sports medicine, massage therapy, Taekwondo, acting, playing guitar, spoken word artistry, and wood working, just to name a few!

Eric’s voice resonates deeply. He is always the loudest one in the room, smiling the biggest, and is definitely never at a loss for words! He loves to make people laugh with his spot on impressions, and quick witted jokes!

All of these qualities make an extraordinary human! Many friends and family would tell you, he is definitely the life of the party!

He is curious, deep, and saw the world in a way only a child of The King could see! He saw The Creator’s orchestration of love in everything! He is the kind of man that truly could hear nature’s symphony while the rest of us just heard crickets!

The connection and loyalty he has to his wife, Christa, was truly two souls intertwined forever.
Christa and Eric, were blessed with 4 children. Allysa, Trent, Jordan, and Gracelynn. They inspired him to rise within himself and give all that he had. He chose to be a Father when others chose to run.

He is the apple of his mother, Pat Lanier’s eye! The connection of Eric and his momma, is one that is truly rare, and is irreplaceable.

Rick Lanier, raised this loyal man, by walking out what it means for a father to love his son even when life’s challenges seemed too big, Rick’s love never wavered.

“Bubba”, as he is affectionately called, is absent for a time, from his sisters, who’s hearts are broken. Wendi Justice (Russell Justice) and Kara Lanier.

“Uncle Bubba”, will be sorely missed from this day forward by his nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunt, Uncles, and every friend he has ever had.

The void of this sudden passing will only be filled when we are reunited again in the presence of Jehovah!

Until then…we will listen a little closer for nature’s symphony. We will smile a little more in your honor. We will love a little bigger because you, Eric, showed us how.

Visitation will be on Saturday, October 2, 2021, from 2:30pm to 4:00 pm, with service to immediately follow at Davidson Funeral Home Main Street, Lexington, NC.
