Linsey Harrel Caison April 03, 1939 - September 16, 2023
Linsey Harrel Caison, 84, of Randolph County, Denton, NC died at his home, September 16, 2023.



He was born April 3, 1939 in Brunswick County, NC to the late James C. Caison and Ethel Cheers Caison. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Rudolph, Goley, Edgar, Tom and James, sister Beatrice Ludlum, and daughter Tammy Caison.



Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Louella Loflin Caison, sister, Mary Jane Hewett (Burton) of Supply, NC, his son, Jeffery (Dana) Caison of Randolph County, grand-daughter Alexandria Lynne Caison, and several nieces and nephews.



Linsey was a twenty year veteran of the U.S.Army, receiving the Bronze Star and Gallantry Cross while serving in Vietnam from 1965-1966. He also served in Western Europe, Central America, the South Pacific, other posts in southeast Asia, various stateside posts and the Army's nuclear program in Antarctica.



In retirement, Linsey was self-employed, and occupied his time fixing whatever needed fixing and building whatever needed building, including over 50 wood block quilts for the Randolph Quilter's Guild, that he assisted Louella in painting, and hung throughout Randolph County.
A Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Denton, NC on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Scott Davis officiating. Mr. Caison will lie in state on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
