Joseph "Joey" Yates Queen, 68, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at home.
A Funeral service will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 4 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, with Reverend Mark Rachels officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service from 3-4 PM. Burial will follow at a later date.
Joey was born November 24, 1954 in Virginia to Joseph Yates Queen Sr. and Dabney Ruth Jessup Queen. He owned and operated Crazy Joe’s Outlet in Lexington. He loved to travel, gamble, and he truly enjoyed life. He is preceded in death by his parents along with his brother Glynn Queen. He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife, Kristin Legare, his daughters; Holly Queen of Virginia, Sophia Legare of Lexington, and Kylie Legare of Lexington, one grandchild, Colin Vaughn, and his brothers Eugene Queen (Joy) of Alabama and Wayne Queen (Cindy) of Florida.
