Allen Lee Blanton December 15, 1950 - August 20, 2023
Allen “Buck” Lee Blanton, a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 20, 2023, at the age of 72. Born on December 15, 1950, in Hanover County to the late Coleman Levi and Bessie Crocker Blanton. Buck’s journey through life was marked by love, dedication, and a deep connection to family.

Buck was a man of many talents and passions. He found his calling as the owner and operator of Allen L. Blanton Painting, where he poured his heart and soul into creating beautiful spaces for others. His skilled hands left a lasting mark on countless homes and businesses in the community.

Outside of work, Buck enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him joy. He had a fascination for uncovering hidden treasures with his metal detector, a hobby that spoke to his curiosity and appreciation for life’s mysteries. He found comfort in watching football, cheering for his favorite teams, and relishing in the camaraderie of the sport. His soul was soothed by the melodies of Country music.

Buck’s love story with his wife, Gina Stewart Blanton, was one of unwavering devotion. Their bond served as a testament to the power of a deep, enduring love that weathered life’s challenges and brought them closer together,

Family was the heart of Buck’s world. His sister, Connie R. Woodcock, shared a special connection that was nurtured by shared memories and a lifetime of experiences. Buck’s legacy extended to the next generation through his role as a godfather to Jaime Caitlyn Kelley, Sara Gunter, and Sienna Cheek. He found joy in guiding and supporting them, leaving an imprint on their lives that will be cherished forever.

Buck’s nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart. Crystal Blanton, Coleman (Anthony) Blanton, Eddie Hackett, Donna Boles Cheek, and many others shared in his love and laughter. His presence was a gift that enriched their lives in countless ways.

As Buck joins his late brothers, James Hewett Blanton, Coleman Franklin Blanton, and Gary Sylvester Blanton, in eternal rest, his memory lives through the stories and memories shared by those who loved him. His legacy of kindness, dedication, and a deep love for family and friends will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 2:30 pm with a visitation of friends prior to the service from 1-2 pm at Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in Buck’s name to the charity of your choice. Let us celebrate the life of Allen “Buck” Lee Blanton, a remarkable individual who left a permanent mark on all he touched.
