Ruby Moore June 06, 1932 - July 22, 2023
Nellie “Ruby” Davis Moore, a beloved member of the Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church and a devoted mother and grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 23, 2023, at the age of 91, at Davidson Health and Rehab.

Nellie was born on June 6, 1932, in Hamlet, NC, to her parents, Joseph Davis and Annie Lee Parks Davis. From the moment she came into this world, she brought joy and love to those around her. Her warmth and kind-hearted nature endeared her to all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Nellie was a shining example of love, compassion, and dedication. She took great pride in her role as a mother and grandmother, always placing her family's well-being above all else. Nellie's love and support knew no bounds, and her children and grandchildren were truly blessed to have her in their lives.

As a devoted member of the Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church, Nellie found strength and solace in her faith. Her unwavering devotion to her spiritual community was an inspiration to others, and she lived her life with grace and humility.

Nellie was a hardworking individual who spent many years in the furniture industry, contributing to her community and leaving a lasting impact on those she worked with.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Jacobs; a son, Joseph Wheeler Smith; and a daughter, Margaret Byrd.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, William "Billy" Smith (Sandy); her devoted daughters, Ann Jones, Mary Collins, Linda Jernigan (Gerold), and Debbie Myers; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Nellie's legacy lives on through each of them, and her love will forever reside in their hearts.

A celebration of Nellie's remarkable life will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 2 pm at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church, where Pastor David Robinson will lead the service. This gathering will serve as a tribute to the beautiful soul that Nellie was and the profound impact she had on the lives of countless people.

During this time of sorrow, may we find solace in the memories shared, the love she gave, and the legacy she leaves behind. Nellie Ruby Davis Moore will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church or to Hospice of Davidson County.
