Gary Allen Armstrong September 29, 1949 - June 27, 2023
Gary Allen Armstrong, 73, of Winston-Salem passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

Gary was born in Chave County, NM, on September 29, 1949, to Coy Armstrong and Viola Armstrong Hutchinson. He served in the United States Army, Unit 176 Assault Helicopter Company in Vietnam. After returning from the military, Gary worked at RJR as a welder. After retirement, he moved to Badin Lake where he enjoyed fishing, hummingbird watching, hanging out with his lake friends, and watching Westerns. Gary loved spending time with his daughters and teaching his grandkids how to fish. Along with his parents, Gary is preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Gene, and a sister, Ruth.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters Kristin Hill (Marc) and Jessica Armstrong; stepson, Eric Marlowe (Kelly); six grandchildren; Nathan, Carter and Devan Marlowe, Jersey and Brady Hill, and Preston Gunter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.

Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the Armstrong family.
