Evelyn Smith Sink October 29, 1930 - October 13, 2021
Mrs. Evelyn Smith Sink, 90, of Petrea Road, died Wednesday, October 13 at her home.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm Saturday, October 16 at First United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Cheryl Skinner. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mrs. Sink will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Sink was born October 29, 1930 in Davidson County to Noah Alexander Smith and Lessie Snyder Smith. She was a graduate of Draughn’s Business College and High Point College. She worked for Coble Dairy and the Department of Social Services in Winston Salem. She later worked for the Employment Security Commission in Salisbury and Lexington until her retirement. Her husband, J.E. Sink, Jr., her daughter, Suzanne Sink, her brothers, Jack Smith, Weldon Smith, and Gene Smith; and her sister, Lorene Shoaf, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Edwin (Joey) Sink III and wife Sheila of Lexington; her daughters, Jan Shuler and husband Gene of Mocksville, and Jill Sink and husband Joe Meabon of Lexington; her grandchildren, Teresa Travis (Matthew), Michele Johnson, Daniel Bolz (Amanda), Nicholas Sink, Joel Shuler (Anna), Jesse Pushee`, and Sara Best (Brad); her great-grandchildren, Elijah, Jada, Isaac, Jonah and Enoch Travis, Lily, Willow and Tristan Bolz, Wesley and Kaydee Keaton, and Jonathan Best; her brother, Nolan Smith of Lexington; and her sisters, Pattie Payne of Lexington and Betty Campbell of Morganton.
