Eddie Elwood Lanier, 75, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Novant Health - Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at Forest Hill Memorial Park with his dear friend, Keith Jarvis officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:45 pm until 1:45 pm prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mr. Lanier was born in Davidson County on September 6, 1946, to Ray Holt Lanier, Sr. and Annie Janice Bailey Lanier. Eddie worked as a brick mason, running his own company for many years. He was of Baptist Faith and enjoyed fishing and playing with his dogs. Eddie always enjoyed spending time with his family and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ray Holt, Jr., June, Don, Horace, Carlyle, and Jerry Lanier; and a sister, Cathy Lanier.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Lambeth Lanier; his three sons, Marty Lanier (Jennifer), Rusty Lanier (Jennifer), and Joe Lanier (Carrie); brothers, Bobby Lanier (Tonya), Keith Lanier (Trish), and Tony Lanier; sisters, Betty Robbins (Jerry), Rita Motsinger, and Ronda Wilson; his grandchildren, Rachel Lanier (Justin), Sarah Lanier, Landon Lanier, and Kendyll Lanier; a host of nieces and nephews; and his K9 companions.
