Charles James McBride September 12, 1932 - May 08, 2022
ames McBride age 89 of Riverwood Drive died Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Lexington Medical Center.



A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 13, 2022, at Macedonia United Methodist Church officiated by Preacher Clyde Akers.



The family will receive friends Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 3:00 pm till 4:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home.



Mr. McBride was born in Guilford County on September 12, 1932, to Charles Elmer McBride and Minnie Macemore McBride. James enjoyed golf, working on golf carts and spending time with family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. James was also proud to have served in the U S Army Special Forces Division. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Shirley Kennedy McBride, brother Ernest McBride, two sisters: Betty Phillips and Mary Bell Hayworth.
Surviving are his son, Michael Wayne Gillespie (Cathy) of Lexington; two grandchildren, Michaela Gillespie Hurley (Trey), Nick Gillespie (Taylor) and five great-grandchildren.
