Mable Lou Spach September 01, 1938 - November 12, 2021
Mable “Lou” Spach, age 83, of Winston-Salem passed away on Friday, November 12, 2021 at her home after many years of declining health. At her request, there will be no public services.



Lou was born on September 1, 1938, in Davidson County to Richard Marshall Barnes and Veigh Grubb Barnes. In 1961, she received a Diploma in Nursing from City Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem, spending nearly 35 years as an Operating Room Nurse at Forsyth and Lexington Memorial Hospitals. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard Barnes and Billy Dean Barnes; a sister, Velma Barnes Huneycutt; a son, Tommy Gray Spach, II; and a daughter, Katyna Spach Weeks.



She is survived by her husband Tommy Gray Spach, of the home; a brother, Henderson Barnes; a son Kenneth Spach and his wife Regina; a granddaughter, Erika Spach Thompson and her husband Austin; and a very special great-grandson, Briar.
