Wayne Thomas Jarvis August 04, 1939 - November 08, 2023
Wayne Thomas Jarvis passed peacefully Wednesday, November 8, 2023, surrounded by his large family.

Wayne was born August 4, 1939, the only child of Pearl Jarvis Carlton. He married the love of his life, Linda Lanier at age 17 and cherished 66 years of time together. He wore many hats; son, husband, Daddy, Pop, and Papaw, always with love and pride. Wayne worked many years in the concrete business and ended his work career at WFU (Wake Forest University). Surviving many health issues through the years only made him stronger. He was a role model and encourager. Wayne taught so many life skills and was always willing to help anyone. Wayne and Linda enjoyed many years at the coast and cherished their friends and family at Ocean Isle Beach. He will forever be missed, but he is at peace and his body is healed.

Surviving are his wife Linda, children; Dean (Traci), Janna (Gresser), Julie (Rick), David, and Chad (Lisa), his grandchildren; Nicholas (Ginger), Connor (Becky), Blake, Kelsey (Bradley), Walker, Faith (Jackson), and Dakota, his great grandchildren; Grayson, Gentry, Callie, Avery, and Henry.
His family wishes to thank the ICU staff at Lexington Memorial Hospital for their amazing and compassionate care.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, November 13th at Forest Hill Memorial Park in Lexington, NC, with Pastor Dennis Marshall officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice or Davidson County Hinkle Hospice Home in his memory.
