Linda Kay Rudisill October 06, 1943 - November 07, 2023
Linda "Kay" Rudisill born October 6th, 1943, in Forsyth County, NC, passed away comfortably surrounded by her family at her home in Midway, NC, on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023. Never meeting a stranger, she spread so much love and laughter throughout her life. She always said, "I love you" and had to hug everyone before leaving a room.

Kay worked at Western Electric for several years before moving on to AMP/Tyco Electronics where she retired. Throughout the years at both, she met so many amazing people who became more like family than co-workers or friends.

She is survived by her children (including son-in-law) Shelia Cook, Douglas "Whimpy" Stewart, and Ronald "RD" Cook. Her grandchildren Brandy Conrad, Julie Conrad, Zac Conrad, and wife Brittany Conrad, Stacy Cook-Hurd, and husband Zach Hurd. The Great-grandchildren who were the absolute pride and joy of her life, Dylan Swaim, Katelyn Chandler, Madalyn Swaim, Macey Praytor, Connor Cook-Hurd, Ella-Shae Conrad, Noah Cook-Hurd, Zayden Conrad, and Zaylia Conrad. As well as her brothers (including brothers-in-law) Bill "Bubby" Edwards, Steve Harper, and Doug Rudisill. Sisters (including sisters-in-law) Shirley Roberts, Bobbie Jo Harper, Eva Mae Williams, Janet Dinkins, and Donna Galloway.

She was preceded in death by the love of her life, best friend, and husband Robert Wayne Rudisill. Her parents, Leroy William Edwards Sr., and Viola Mae Glascoe Edwards. Along with her sisters (including sister-in-law) Mattie "Pat" Compton, Jackie "Peanut" Smith, Rhonda Myers, Margie Wilhelm, Silva Bragg, and Lynn Edwards. And brothers (including brothers-in-law) Richard "Buck" Williams, Harold Roberts, Don Wilhelm, Lonnie Bragg, and Jerry Rudisill.

We would like to welcome everyone to join us this Saturday, November 11th, 2023, from 2:00 PM-5:00 PM at Wallburg Fire Department located at 121 Georgetown Road Winston Salem, NC, 27107 to carry out Kays’ wishes in the form of a Celebration of Life to include great food and good fellowship (by Brandon Wolfe of Wallburg Baptist Church).
The family asks that all flowers be sent to her home located at 4415 Clodfelter Rd. Winston Salem, NC, 27107, and that any monetary donations be made directly to Trellis Hospice of Winston Salem in her honor.
