Charles Wade Smith Jr. March 27, 1962 - November 04, 2023
Charles Wade Smith Jr, 61, of Davidson County, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2023.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Charles was born on March 27, 1962, in Davidson County, to the late Charles Wade Smith Sr. and Kate Cole Smith. He was multi-talented and was known to be good at whatever he tried. However, Charles was passionate and best at music. From a young age, he played guitar, wrote songs, and composed music. He started as “The Smith Family” singing in church, and his last venture was as rockstar “Chuck Nasty”. His family will remember the music of his guitar as one of their favorite sounds. Charles was also known for his unconventional ideas and great sense of humor which always kept a smile on the faces of his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Danielle Everhart (Nate), of Lexington, and Charles Wade Smith III, of Boulder, CO; sisters, Marlene Chappell (Terry), of Lexington, Katrinka Barnhart (Paul), of Walkertown, Tamra Wood (Curtis), of Advance, and Kathryn Riley (Tel), of Princeton, Canada; grandchildren, Jayden and Mary-Beth Kotarsky; and cousin, Jeffrey “Gabby” Hayes.
He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
