George Elsie “Sweetie” Ingram, Jr., 61, of Mt. Gilead, died Friday, October 27, 2023 in Troy. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Biscoe Community Center in Biscoe, with Rev. Frankie Royal and Rev. Brantley Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Presbyterian Church Cemetery.



Born in Moore County on July 30, 1962, he was the son of George and Betty McKenzie Ingram, Sr. He was a Master Electrician, and owner/operator of George’s Electric, LLC. He had been a chicken farmer for over 20 years as well. George loved riding his motorcycles, going to Daytona, Florida often. He loved playing golf and was loved and adored by his many nieces and nephews. George was definitely one of a kind.



George is survived by his wife, Sherrie Lewis Ingram of the home; 3 daughters, Carrie Nicole Ingram (Alfred Junior Cagle) of Candor, Mandie Ingram Scott (Matthew) of Eagle Springs, and Mistie Ingram Andrews (Waylon) of Troy; parents, George and Betty Ingram of West End; brother, Anthony Curtis Ingram of West End; 2 sisters, Tammy Catherine Thomas (Mike) of Aberdeen, and Amy Gail Garrison (Casey) of Florida; 6 grandchildren, Victoria Nicole Ingram, Zayden Timothy Ingram, Jaxson Riley Morris, Maverick Franklin Scott, Honor Addae Cagle and Maylyn Inez Scott; Sisters and Brothers-in-law, Terrie and Tim Furr, Vickie and Henry Panzer, and Gary and Tonya Lewis.
After the committal service, the family and friends will gather back at the Biscoe Community Center.



Memorials may be made to the Bikers For Tots.



Briggs-Candor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
