Robert Paul Jarrett March 27, 1935 - December 20, 2022
Robert Paul Jarrett, 87, of Lexington, passed away December 19, 2022, at Wake Forest Medical Center in Lexington.



A visitation to celebrate his life will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the home of his daughter, Robin Jarrett, and the home of his son, Paul Jarrett.



Mr. Jarrett was born March 27, 1935, in Davidson County, to William Paul Jarrett and Margaret Cope Jarrett. He was a veteran, having served in the US Navy for many years. He retired as a city carrier for the US Postal Service with over 19 years of service, and worked with the City of Lexington ABC Board for 31 years. Bob was a life member of VFW Post 3074, DAV Post 39, and the American Legion. He was also a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers #461. His passion was his family, especially his mother, he lived for his mother. Bob was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Bryington Jarrett, who died September 13, 1996; son, Randy Jarrett; brother, Jim Jarrett; and sister, Rachel Jackson.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Ray Jarrett of Abilene, Texas; Paul Jarrett of Lexington; his daughter, Robin Jarrett of Lexington; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Gaynell Lopp, Jean Graves, and Barbara Jarrett, all of Lexington, and several nieces and nephews, among them Tim Jackson who was very special to him.



In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Davidson Medical Ministries, 420 N Salisbury, St., Lexington, NC 27292
