Louis Betancourth, born on October 28, 1988, in New York, peacefully passed away on August 16, 2023, in Lexington, North Carolina. He was the beloved child of Luis Betancourth and Hedna Pinto Betancourth. Louis will be fondly remembered by his brothers Julio Flores and Carlos Flores, and his sister Jasmin Hailey. He brought joy and love to his family and friends throughout his life. He loved children, baseball, and had a tender cowboy heart. He loved Jehovah and his entire family over everything. And was a member of Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witness.

Brenda Browning Burch January 29, 1942 - August 17, 2023
Brenda Browning Burch, born on January 29, 1942, in Davidson County, NC, peacefully passed away on August 17, 2023. She was born to her loving parents James and Ina Mae Browning. Brenda's memory will forever live on in the hearts of her son, Mark Burch and his wife Brianna. She was a cherished sister to Jerry Wayne Browning and his wife Debbie, and a beloved sister to the late Nettie Davis, and James Elvin Browning.

A funeral service will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00 AM, at Davidson Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Slaughter officiating, burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Cemetery.

Family will visit with friends Sunday, August 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral home.

Brenda found joy in her role as a grandmother to Calvin Burch, Simon Burch, and Samantha Burch. Her dedication to family was matched by her commitment to her community; she attended Coggins Church and was a dedicated worker at Duracell, where she contributed as a battery maker.

Michael
Michael “Mike” Anthony Medlin, 63, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday August 15, 2023, at Wake Forest Baptist Lexington Medical Center in Lexington.



A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday August 19, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev Jim Luck. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6-8 pm at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel.



Mike was born July 12, 1960, in Davidson County, to Tony Medlin and Gail Thomason Medlin. Mike graduated from Central Davidson High School where he was involved in Football, Baseball, and having played baseball with the American Legion Post 8. He attended Elon University and East Carolina University. He was past exalted ruler of the Lexington Elks Lodge #2527. Was a sales rep. with Northern Safety and Industrial. He loved the outdoors and spending time on the lake with all his friends. Mike was a member of the Second Reformed United Church of Christ; his passion was his family and his friends. Mike was a loving son, brother and uncle, who will be missed by all.



Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Tony and Gail Thomason Medlin, sisters, Julie Dyson and husband Greg, Paula Medlin Stogner and Fiancé Kenny Newsome all of Lexington; also surviving are his nephews, Zackery Hutchinson, Merrick Dyson, and niece, Riley Dyson all of Lexington. And all his special friends that he loved and cherish the time spent together.

Randall Perry Kirk September 22, 1958 - August 15, 2023
Randall Perry Kirk, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away at his home in Lexington on August 15, 2023. He was born on September 22, 1958, to his loving parents Oscar Dow Kirk and Geraldine Fields Kirk. Randall's journey on this earth was defined by his dedication, hard work, and the love he shared with his family.

Family will greet friends Thursday, August 17, 6-8pm at the home of Brandon Prince. 2678 Allred Road Lexington, NC.

Randall worked as a truck driver for Howard Transportation. Beyond his career, Randall found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for fishing, a hobby that allowed him to connect with nature and find moments of peace and serenity.

Among his greatest joys were his precious grandchildren. Randall cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts. His warm smile and loving presence made him a beloved figure in their lives.

Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Dow Kirk and Geraldine Fields Kirk, as well as his brother Clarence. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will forever live on in the hearts of his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Lola Jean Davis Kirk.

His memory will be carried on by his sons, Brandon Prince and wife Brittany of Lexington, and Jonathan Prince of South Carolina. He is also survived by his brothers, Oscar Lee Kirk Jr. of West Virginia and Billy, who was not only his brother-in-law but also his best friend. His sister, Estelle Meade, and husband Virgil of West Virginia also mourn his passing.

Guadalupe Rodriguez Lopez July 03, 1957 - August 14, 2023
]Guadalupe Rodriguez Lopez, 66, of Lexington, passed away August 14, 2023, at Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville.



A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Father Sebastian Umouyo officiating. The family will receive friends 2- 4 pm before the service at the funeral home. And at other times at the home on Edna Street, Lexington.



Mrs. Lopez was born July 3, 1957, in Cuernavach Morelos Mexico. To Jesus Rodriguez Cuellas and Romana Lopez. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary. Her passion was her faith, church, family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Giuadalupe was a loving mother, grandmother and sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Eduardo Castro and Eloy Rodriguez Lopez.

On a bright December 5, 2007, the world welcomed Camden Jacob Snow in Davidson County, NC, and on a day not too distant, August 18, 2023, we gather not to mourn his departure, but to celebrate the vibrant journey he undertook during his time with us. Born to Justin Keith Leonard (Shannon) and Gerrelle Tammera Snow, Cam's life was a kaleidoscope of joy and adventures.



Join us at 2 pm on Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, as we come together to honor Cam's remarkable life. Guided by the uplifting words of Pastor Terry Smith, we'll remember the moments that made him who he was. Following the service, a fitting farewell will take place at the Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather between 1 pm and 2 pm before the service to share stories and memories that celebrate his spirit.



Cam's spirit thrived in the halls of West Davidson High School, where his enthusiasm for life was infectious. He was a skilled golfer, finding solace and joy on the greens as he honed his talent. An explorer at heart, he embraced the great outdoors with a passion for dirt biking, fishing, and conquering snowy slopes on his snowboard with his uncle Chase. Cam's zest for life extended to his beloved grandfather, Keith Leonard, who found in Cam an eager and capable sidekick in all their endeavors. His grandparents, Lee and Linda Craver, played an integral role in shaping the wonderful person Cam became, raising him with boundless love and care.Beyond his pursuits, Cam was a beacon of compassion and selflessness. His generosity knew no limits, and his love for others radiated through his actions. Even in passing, Cam's legacy of giving continued through his organ donation via the Honor Bridge program, a testament to his unwavering spirit of helping others.



Cam's memory is etched in the hearts of those who knew him. He leaves behind his loving parents, Justin Leonard (Shannon) and Gerrelle Tammera Snow. His tight-knit sibling circle includes Greyson Keith Leonard, Nevaeh Marie Leonard, Vada Marie Snow, Bryson Jackson Jones, Brantley Michael Hancock, Carley Michelle Hancock, Kaiser Samuel Snow, and Joshua Ryan Michael, Jr. His grandparents, Lee and Linda Craver, Keith Leonard, and Nancy Michael, find comfort in the countless memories they shared.



In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to the Brenner's Children's Hospital at 1 Medical Center Blvd, Winston-Salem, NC 27157. This gesture echoes Cam's spirit of caring and supports a cause close to their hearts.

Caarlotte Louise Walser June 30, 1932 - August 12, 2023
Charlotte Walser, age 91 of Yadkin College Road, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023, with her family by her side.

Her funeral service will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel officiated by Pastor Keith Bruner. A burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, at Davidson Funeral home, Lexington, NC.

Charlotte was born June 30, 1932, in Davidson County to Paul Harrison Hartley and Louise Hunt Hartley. She retired from Frank Ix and Sons and was of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, husband Rev. Benny William Walser, son Rex Bennet Walser, son in-law Edward “Eddie” Phillips, grandson Brian William Walser, sister Ramona Hartley Brooks.

Surviving are son, Hugh Paul Walser (Brandy), daughter, Sondra Walser Phillips, brother Harison Hartley, sister Tillie Hartley Comer, 6 grandchildren, Eddie Jr. Phillips (Lory), Mitzi Phillips (Bo), Mike Phillips (Ashley), Matt Phillips (Joe), Logan Walser (Cary), Dalton Walser (Christie), 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
