The Hallmark Quartet started in 1956, Tenor Gary Morgan took over this great full time ministry as President of the Hallmark Quartet Incorporated in 2009. They average 180 dates per year doing auditoriums, churches and fair's throughout the United States.
Their recordings are not only being played though out the United States, but also in some European countries, such as Germany, France, Bulgaria and Scotland.
They have performed at the National Quartet Convention several times though out the years , such as the 9-11 Showcase, the Diamond Awards, The Lamp Music Showcase, Angelic Talent Showcase and more.
Over the past several years the group has been featured on TV networks such as Daystar Network, GAC (Great American Country), GMTN (Gospel Music Television Network), and Family-Life TV.
In October 2002, The Hallmark Quartet signed a recording contract with Lamp Music Group of Whitesburg Georgia, a major recording company.
In November 2004, they signed an exclusive contract with Capitol Artist Booking Agency. Capitol Artist is one of the premier booking agencies in the industry. They represent such groups as the Legendary Blackwood Brothers, From The Ashes, the Skyline Boys and other well known groups.
In December 2008 The Hallmark Quartet were asked to be one of the artist to sing on main stage of the Branson Gospel Music Convention (BGMC). Along with such groups and soloist as, Dino, the Blackwood Quartet, the Florida Boys, Bill Shell, the Stamps Quartet, the Nelons, Young Harmony, and the Chuck Wagon Gang. This year the 5 day event will be held June28—July 2nd. and is located at the Branson Convention Center in Branson Missouri.
In February 2009 they were asked to be one of the head liners for the Midwest Gospel Fest at the Delaware Fair in Muncie Indiana , along with Lulu Romans of Hee Haw fame and the Weatherfords.
The Hallmark Quartet have been graced to be included in a book (“Southern Sounds from the North” by author Rick L. Doran), that tells the role Ohio has played in the continuation of this great sound we call Southern Gospel Music. Besides the Hallmark Quartet, there are groups like, the Cathedral Quartet, Bill Gaither, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Dottie Rambo, Doug Oldham, Buddy Liles (former bass of the Florida Boys) and so on. In 2010 The Hallmark Quartet were nominated in the top 10 of the coveted Diamond Awards in Branson Missouri.
Ivan Parker wrote, “Triumphantly We Stand” for the Hallmark Quartet John Darin Rowsey who wrote such great songs as, “Singing With Saints” for the Gaither Vocal Band, has written several songs for the Hallmark Quartet, such as “Homecoming Song” that went to # 10 on the charts.
Jonathan Stone has just written The Hallmark Quartet’s latest single release called “Old Fashioned Way”. Bill Shell who has written songs for such groups as, Gold City, Legacy Five, has written a great ballad called “The Shepherd” that we are doing on our newest project called “Bridging The Gap” Marlene Pelts also wrote a song for our new project called “Oh Say Can You See".
R.C. Hodge wrote the great song titled “That’s The Kind Of Morning Only Jesus Can Bring”
These songs are now out in bookstores and on radio and are doing very well on many stations though out the United States and parts of Europe.
